Comments: The devil-human Minghella grew serious. And not only in the transposition of the sequel (scheduled for 2011, the third installment of the trilogy) at chronologically, but also because, freed from the constraints imposed on the original storyline in the first episode, this second chapter of the fantastic adventures of Ron Perlman and company is able to exalt the visionary Guillermo Del Toro, a masterpiece that between pluririconosciuto (Pan's Labyrinth) and a work in progress (The Hobbit) it gives parenthesis fantasy anthology. This Hellboy is so much more convincing than the first, either because the plot does not purport to concede anything to the realism, the emotion that you want to send (not necessarily related to adrenaline action scenes, gaining from flowering tree giant in the city center, minute after minute of high-voltage poetry) Look for the greatest irony of the characters. It travels in space and mind, in a movie that plunders with style and good taste all European folk traditions, with a preference for the northern creatures (elves, gnomes, trolls and giants of stone). Hellboy is the fallible hero, a devil's body from potentially flawless, which opens the way to a feeling all human, and therefore null and void. Not a short masterpiece, but in summer very fertile soil of the cine-baloon, this work looks good at all. And that, believe it is a lot.
Do not miss the encounter with death, that re-designs and "notching" graphic trademark already the "Faun" Del Toro.
