Comment: Dogcatcher Walter Sparrow is a quiet, his life unravels serene and soft. On his birthday, a coincidence of fate, his wife Agatha makes a gift of a disturbing book by its cover, red (number 23). Reading the book by Walter, initially skeptical about it, soon becomes a matter of urgency, and the shocking resemblance to the life of the novel's protagonist, Detective Fingerling, push the good family man into a vortex of neuroses initially for then srofondare in paranoia and, finally, to a murderous obsession drawn from the number 23. The subject is taken from a story by Stephen King, screenplay by Fernley Phillips (according to many, a protégé of King) directed by Joel Schumacher (What a coincidence 23ima his film), and the final result does not lose much of the suspense of the King of morbid thrill. The tension is ensured, Jim Carrey is superlative and surprising in this evil version of his mask usually jokes. His performance at times recalls the famous story of Jack Torrance (Nicholson), dealing with him as the dark side of human mind, nell'Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
not to be missed thanks to the addition of Rhona Mitra (who gave his avveneti forms Lara Croft), the incredible possibilities of the esoteric (logical) number 23 to infiltrate the small daily life (in addition to the numerous cameos of the same missing in the film), and be careful not to go the same tunnel Carrey Sparrow!
RATING: 7.5
