three-year program from 2010 to 2012 ACU

2010-2012 THREE-YEAR PROGRAM AND GUIDELINES

OF 'ACU-USERS ASSOCIATION CONSUMER

nonprofit organization

(art. 15 of the Statute)

approved by the National ORDINARY

MEMBERS DELEGATES

December 13, 2009 - MILAN

The Assembly national delegates of the members is to approve, as provided by art. 15 of the Statute, the Programme and the Guidelines for the three-year activities of the Association.

The approved plan is necessarily brief. The Assembly considers that the national governing bodies, and particularly the national presidency, should make efforts to define in detail the activities that should be deployed regularly over the next three years.

ACU and the constitutional rights

Considering the statutory mission of raising the ACU in the territory in order to promote critical consumerism, sustainable, ethical and inclusive in our country, the Assembly resolution on the need to enhance relations with workers' representatives, associations and committees of citizens committed to the protection of common goods starting from the water and air, health, quality and environmental security and in general committed to protecting the fundamental principles of the Italian Constitution to protect the rights of citizens who live, work and operate within the national territory.

The Assembly is committed to assess the possibility that during the three years will make a petition for the submission of a draft law of popular initiative for inclusion in the first paragraph of Art. 32 of the Constitution, law, consumer protection, as defined by UN resolutions.

PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES 'OF CONSUMERS INTERNATIONAL. THE PROPOSED CONGRESS 2015 IN MILAN

The Assembly decides on the opportunity to support and continue to participate in the network of international relations of the Consumers International, which ACU is already a party since 1986, ensuring the presence of their representatives, as less to celebrate the most important initiatives at world level.

The Assembly endorses the proposal, which was presented to Consumers International, to celebrate the Congress World 2015 in Milan, at the Expo, whose theme is Feeding the Planet - Energy for Life , engaging all ACU structures to help achieve this goal in the best way possible.

BUILD A STABLE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ITALIAN ASSOCIATION is a common policy to European institutions

The Assembly considers that major European relations started in the last five years in Alliance for Breast-all'ASECO Social and Ecological Consumer Organisations. However this area is not sufficient to address the relationships and the necessary commitments to the institutions European, let alone the next five years, during which representatives of consumers are called upon to intervene systematically with professionalism and timeliness.

The Assembly endorses the path, started from January 2009 to pursue a collaborative relationship with the BEUC - since November 2008 has elected Italian President - through the National Coordination between consumer organizations concerned to work towards a unified European Institutions . The Assembly is committed to promote, with concrete actions, the promotion of knowledge of EU institutions.

ECONOMIC CRISIS AND MEANS OF PROTECTION

Recital the persistence of severe structural and economic crisis that is downloaded more on 2 / 3 of the population, the Assembly considers that it should bind all its members and its governing bodies to support every opportunity and situation for the promotion of sustainable development, for exploitation of natural resources, human and cultural local and national, in defense of labor and income. Also acting on the need to promote, in collaboration with other organizations, associations and committees, new forms of protection, such as: groups to purchase products and services of recognized social value, Groups boycott of companies that practice dumping, committees to specifically for the promotion of Class Action.

undertakes the Presidency National Assembly to produce Guidelines to operationalize these resolutions.

CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT AND JOINT

The Assembly considers that the Association should be engaging, with more energy and vigor, in the judicial protection of citizens' collective consumer-users, using all the tools available today and that the evolution of national and European regulations implemented in the future. Class Action on , introduced by Law n.99/2009 instrument case, although with many misgivings, the Assembly considers necessary that the association carries out all necessary actions for a considerable improvement in the regulatory text now in force and no currency should consider the initiation of certain actions and characterized by well-defined prerequisites that must be handled with the highest professionalism possible.

The Assembly supports the equal dignity and social value of the joint arbitration brought, already in Italy for twenty years by consumer associations, businesses, and condemns all attempts at parliamentary and governmental acts to cancel such experience, which should instead be valued and supported economically by using sanctions to companies posed by the Authority.

The ACU promotes and adheres to the protection of the associated actions for damages filed in the fields of water and energy.

SURVEYS AND POLLS ON CRITICAL CONSUMPTION

Considering that the current dominant model of production and consumption is based on the stimulation of needs, which are induced, caused also by an increasingly aggressive marketing by companies, so that condition determining the attitudes and lifestyles of consumers, the Assembly resolution on the need to carry out regular surveys on attitudes and consumer choice, finalizing the design of such research to be a charter of values and quality of consumer both the knowledge of the critical behavior of consumers to the market. In this context, the Assembly considers to be urgent and necessary to activate and articulate the area "polls" Website www.acu.it .

FORMATION OF CONSUMERS AND USERS

The Assembly identified the development of scientific consumerism, critical consumerism own associations, the ability to promote the University consumer, as required by statute, even in collaboration with other public and private, with the aim of promoting a school of thought alternative marketing dominant consumerist.

The Assembly supports the mandatory nature of the promotion of training in consumerism, already from an early age, going beyond the concepts of "consumer education", "nutrition education", "environmental education", "consumer oriented" and similar formulations over the model information only to propose a change of behavior and to emphasize a holistic approach based on the centrality of the person and his life in its relations with society, environment, labor, market, state, or structures public and private organizations. Consumerism organized the Third Millennium has to go beyond the conception of the axiom "informed consumer, consumers saved", to arrive at a new perspective: "consumer formats, consumer wherever organized."

The Assembly commits the ACU to affirm and promote, in every appropriate forum, that the right to information must always be accompanied by requirements of fairness and completeness to ensure transparency of the public of any commercial message, the subunit more if disguised as journalism "neutral." The absence of even one of these basic requirements to make that information part, and therefore of dubious quality in these cases, though, we would require an explicit citation of sources.

The Assembly considers that a mass movement of consumers and users should demand the development of scientific research on issues affecting consumers and find their own ways and means of expression in every place of work and consumption: the time social life and private life in modern society are dominated by the use of energy, mostly fossil, of tangible and intangible. Even the period devoted to sleep can not be considered foreign to the logic of consumption.

AND TAKE ACTION THROUGH THE NETWORK WITH NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The Assembly decides whether to implement the network, with the appropriate computer tools, not only through the facilities ACU, but also of all those citizens, partners and employees who show their willingness to participate in the activities of ' Association expressing views, opinions and actions that can be placed in various areas of intervention.

Each member of the National Presidency and participants in the governing bodies must have a Skype account to participate in remote meetings.

REWARD WITH TAX ' GENERAL CONDUCT AND CHOICES OF THE MARKET AND CONSUMPTION OF SUSTAINABLE ECO-

Considering that the ACU has, since its formation in 1984, characterized by its commitment to sustainable production and consumption, continues to state that contrary to military and civilian use of nuclear energy, and since today (see International Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen) are no longer put off government measures in this direction.

The Assembly considers it essential to the use of fiscal incentives in promoting investment, production, consumption and lifestyles based upon the principles of environmental sustainability. In this context, the resolution and you Assembla load of the proposal to launch a National Campaign for the significant reduction of VAT on products from organic produce and fair trade for the goods and services produced / managed with 100% renewable energy, and the products obtained with the greatest possible amount of recycled materials using the best available technology.

National Assembly undertakes the Presidency to launch this campaign forward the request to act on the fiscal incentives or rewards for promoting the consumption made in catering (school canteens, hospital and community canteens) with organic products. Also all the individual behaviors and family (Eg use of public transport rail, bicycle use in place of the car, significant energy savings, etc..) Geared up a virtuous choice in terms of social and environmental health, they must find a just reward through effective system of tax deductions.

Finally, it should support any action to promote a general and equitable contribution and to prevent and contain the phenomenon of tax evasion.

HEALTH NOT 'AN OPTION OF OUR LIVES

The ACU has a holistic view of man and the planet in general. It is the bearer of the request to place, at every institutional level, the principle precautionary and claims that the same administrative and inspire action to control. Consequently rejects any attempt to place the GMO products in food and agricultural products.

In terms of prevention and health protection, the Assembly considers just the principle of freedom of treatment and therefore the possibility for citizens to use alternative medicine conventionally under the same conditions set by the NHS for drugs and therapies conventionally . The Assembly condemns consumerism and the fierce drug therapy practiced by Convectional medicine and health care facilities and hospitals.

All citizens must be equipped to take be free to choose in good conscience therapies to be adopted, even for those possible situations in which the patient arrives to lose their decision-making autonomy. The accompanying sweet death should become an international law which should be introduced in the International Bill of Human Rights.

National Assembly undertakes the Presidency for a campaign on these issues.

raise funds and financing for the 'ACU

The Assembly instructed the Presidency to activate all possible, consistent with the legal framework, to raise funds and grants to support activities ACU's Statute, including agreements with organizations, associations and public organizations.

PROTECTION FROM ASSAULTS personalistic

Bananas can hurt sometimes! New telematics

Speaking of bananas ... ... (Part II) By popular demand ... .... Continuing the discussion ... over bananas. (See newsletter previous go to: www.lebananepossonofarmale.org
www.lebananepossonofarmale.com www.lebananepossonofarmale.it) Do not spend 10 days on TV and I see desperate farmers-producers squeezed by buyers because of the large distribution and then forced to sell their produced a few euro cents and then to see consumer prices quintupled .... and the soap opera of the zucchini you remember ...?
Given that: I personally think that the big distribution destroys local merchants with unorthodox strategies by selling below cost in some other products and gaining strategic destroying the social fabric in which it operates: if in my city close 100 stores I have 100 potential customers in less than normal because the small trader spends his earnings on the spot, creating wealth while the large group is un'idrovora not spend anything in the area in which indeed sucks money maybe that moved elsewhere abroad and manages the same volume of goods to 100 stores with less staff underpaid. Before allowing the installation of a shopping center in a community of the city authorities are expected to sign a framework agreement by which the group agrees to acquire goods and services to 50% on the square and after agreement with trade unions to recruit staff salaries established and not as it is common to be free to do what they want. In addition, the business strategies should be clear and clean should not be allowed
below because these groups first calculate how much the market for "banana" in a given area and after applying unfair trade policies such as working at a loss for several years until the market becomes their father because the trader has to bring home the bread for the children and certainly can not be missed for years.
rules on the application of loss are circumvented simply by asking the supplier to charge over some articles and other in charge or I'll buy 100 of these with me and 10 of these gifts that I in turn sell at nominal price, or they'll put you in the head and you give me 5000 euro provider ... and then massacred while customers on other non-owl. & # 160; We formulated this thought: I would not want to traders than the producers also disappeared one day and we were forced to purchase foods from outside Europe, with all
not guarantee that the rules of production attached, or genetically modified foods. We created a portal with some friends for the online sale of fruit and vegetables a day and perhaps typical. From the practical point of view
the idea is this: On www.lebananepossonofarmale.org you can buy online fruit and vegetables and more with direct delivery to your home, buy direct from the manufacturer the highest quality, you know what eat the manufacturer puts us face you find all the info including the production site with lots of pictures etc.etc. (personally I prefer the mandarin bananas; Maybe the idea of eating a product grown near a landfill
incinerator does not amount to much pleases me). If you want to see an orange free passes will be happy to give this to you. The customer / building / buying group / Etc. Consumers Union. order book on the internet or by specifying the time at which the product can be delivered and paid after delivery. Can only buy products with tape or minimum size, then we will see later if we can make even the mix.
Or if we want to do some 'of the show and there are several orders in the same city sent a truck in a square on that day from 9 to 22 and the customer goes to withdraw the product directly to the truck (the boxes are already labeled with copy of the receipt printed during the order and the customer is presented with a copy thereof) in this case because the commodity price falls not affect transport. But imagine a square in Rome close to the corridors of power where the crazy orange dump truck and a large cloth banner: LEBANANEPOSSONOFARMALE.ORG ... ....: If you like this idea you can help by promoting our website and by running this email so the aim is not to win but to compete with those selling bananas and have mandarine; ... good at home without having to look for & ... # 160; seem strange to the layman but it is who sells bananas that makes the competition to those who sell computers. at least I hope I have made you smile, but the idea is serious and if the web will give us strength will win RECALLS BANANAS CAN SOMETIMES HURT.

Dear Friends,
the Polish parliament has chosen December 15 2009 to discuss and vote on a new "Law on GMOs," which, if approved, will mark the beginning of the cultivation of genetically modified organisms on Polish soil, on the basis of EU standards allowing the coexistence of genetically modified crops and conventional crops on a commercial scale.
Despite more than two uninterrupted years of lobbying, demonstrations and petitions, the Tusk government decided not to prohibit the cultivation of the controversial maize MON810, which is subject to a ban on crop cultivation in seven European countries, including Germany and France. The present government has also refused to maintain the prohibition adopted from the previous one on the import and trade of GM seeds and plants.
The Government will, however, just ten days after the Christmas holidays, to pass away from noise to a new law that will lay the foundations office for the first sowing of GM crops on the Polish soil thus providing a classic example of political manipulation and collusion with multinational companies.
Friends, this is a crucial time to act: we must prevent this bill is approved . Even now, almost at the end of time, we can show to the Polish government that a serious international movement of resistance is opposed to genetic pollution of the beautiful Polish countryside, thanks to its 1.5 million small family farms and its wholesome food . Join
Polish citizens to reject this cowardly and secret attempt to disregard the will of 70% of the population and majority of Polish farmers. Write today to the President of the Polish Parliament (tomorrow's vote ) that the new "Law on GMOs" is rejected and is prohibited in the country the cultivation of MON810 maize and any other genetically modified crop, the European Union decides to approve .
Please act immediately. E 'crucial that your voice will join those of Polish citizens to stop the genocide of the biodiversity of the Polish countryside and its inhabitants.

The municipal tax known as "municipal surcharge on electricity consumption," reads the rule, shall be paid to the Municipality, by electricity distribution company in view of kwh of electric energy consumption made on the ground. "It is, instead, a true local energy tax burden on families once again - says the Speaker of Small Towns, Virgil Caivano - The additional excise duty on electricity and local authorities are well highlighted in the bill, which increased spending considerable, particularly for families in difficult economic conditions. A heavy tax that must be eliminated quickly - the demand of the leaders of small communities to the Italian government - as of this Finance Act. The Competition Commission imposes a fine of three pharmaceutical companies for fixing prices of resale.

12/01/2009 (Competition / Switzerland)

The Competition Commission (Competition Commission) has ruled that agreements fixing resale prices between producers and distributors of three medicines off the list is illegal. It imposes on the undertakings concerned, Pfizer AG, Eli Lilly (Switzerland) SA and Bayer (Schweiz) AG, a fine of CHF 5.7 million.

In this case, the three producers have fixed prices for the resale in the form of government recommended prices for their products to combat erectile dysfunction (Viagra, Cialis and Levitra). These prices are integrated into the information system of the class or are transmitted directly from wholesalers to pharmacies and doctors dispensanti that the vast majority of those whom they bill their patients. The competition commission is of the opinion that these practices are agreements which impose resale prices, and therefore such agreements are illegal under Article 5 paragraph 4 of the Federal Law on Cartels (ACart).

This system of fixing resale prices stems from the cartel Sanphar, which was banned in 2000. Sanphar was a sectoral agreement enabling them to fix the resale price in terms of criteria for determining the margins. The competition commission finds that the basic idea of this agreement has survived against these medicines sold on prescription, but not reimbursed by the underlying disease. Covering all the relevant market, the system stabilizes the factory price of manufacturers and distributors gini Mar. Therefore COMCO has banned pharmaceutical companies interested in continuing to publish and imposed a total fine of CHF 5.7 million.

Quest'inchiesta related to the three drugs known as "off-list" Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. They are sold against prescription, but since they are not reimbursed by health insurance companies, their price is set by the authorities but by the retailers themselves. Therefore, the relevant market is subject to general rules of competition law, rules that should not be circumvented by the operators, as in the case.

What Should Cm Be Like Day Before Period

Bhopal is a story of greed and corporate profit

Here is the press release we received from the Coalition against Bayer Dangers .

Staff Writer ACU

Interview with Rachna Dhingra of the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal (ICJB)

Rachna Dhingra, 32, originally from Delhi, was only six years old when, in 1984, the world's worst industrial disaster struck Bhopal. Rachna was educated in the United States, joining a group of students who took care of the Bhopal disaster. In 2000 he completed his studies with a degree in business and in January 2003 went to live in Bhopal. Rachna is now a major force in both the international campaign of ICJB, locally, with the group for information and action Bhopal Group of Information and Action. Before returning to India he worked for Dow Chemical Company related with the Union Carbide Corporation that at the time of the disaster, was the owner of the factory in Bhopal. The Coalition against Bayer Dangers (CBG Germany) met Rachna Dhingra in Leverkusen, home to the headquarters of Bayer Corporation.

What is your personal motivation to engage in the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal?

I like what I do. For me it is a sacrifice, but one thing that helps me sleep better at night, with no remorse. What angers me most is that even today, after 25 years after the disaster, the government allows people to drink contaminated water. Each is driven by something in his life. What drives me is the fact that the company I worked for was more interested in profits than the lives of people. I came to Bhopal to work with the survivors who are still fighting to get better care and clean water and are judged because individuals and corporations responsible for the disaster. A quarter century of waiting for justice is long, but I hope that eventually everyone will receive according to justice.

What are the biggest problems today in Bhopal and what your needs more important?

In these 25 years of endless human suffering more than 25,000 people have died. Each of the over half a million affected have lost a relative, a friend or neighbor. A fifth is still suffering from chronically in a variety of physical and mental illness due to exposure to toxic substance. Tens of thousands of children born after the disaster suffer from growth disorders and development. Hundreds of children are born and are born with defects caused by parental exposure to Carbide's poisons, toxic gas that is through water contaminated by chemical waste from the factory.

multinational Bhopal is the worst massacre in history, yet the corporations and their leaders accused of murder, serious injury and other counts of criminal goes unpunished, and away from the Indian courts. In the meantime the main accused continues to do business in India through the Dow Chemical Company, which is its current owner.

There is also a global environmental crime that continues for 25 years, ground water and soil in an area of over 20 square kilometers, are contaminated with chemicals that cause cancer and birth defects and damage the liver, lungs, kidneys and brain. Some of these substances have been found in breast milk in communities living near the factory and landfill where they are still buried 10,000 tons of hazardous waste. This area includes 35 acres of the factory, according to Union Carbide's own admission, hazardous waste was dumped in 20 points. The Union Carbide ignores the provisions Indian courts and the Dow Chemical says it can not assume the responsibilities of a company which is its 100%.

Why did you decide to do this bus tour on the 25th anniversary of the Bhopal disaster?

To tell people that this is not a disaster 25 years ago, but that it continues even now. To bring to the attention of the Europeans that the story of Bhopal Bhopal is not only, but the story is the greed of multinational corporations that put profit before life and human environment. The bus is a means by which it is easy to travel through many countries, stopping in small places and connect to other communities fighting similar battles. The bus tour also serves to promote awareness and raise funds for the Sambhavna Clinic, which provides free care to the best people poisoned by Union Carbide. (For more information: www.bhopal.org ).

Last year she also stopped the planting of the Bayer Institute, United States, where in 2008 there was a huge explosion. How was the reaction to his visit to Institute?

It 'was one of the few places in the U.S., where we come in contact with another affected community. It 'was an emotional moment and it was shocking to see that the Bhopal disaster is not no lesson was learned. We were very saddened to see the factory near the community of residents. As you enter the city you are surrounded by the smell of toxic chemicals and you can not get rid of until you leave the city. After talking to many people in the community, I was shocked to see the similarities of the disease which affects women and children, resulting from the slow poisoning caused by the installation of Bayer. The Institute is sick as people in Bhopal. No comprehensive study has been done by some scientific agency, water pollution, morbidity, the incidence of cancer and so on. And, as in Bhopal, including Institute most affected were the poor and blacks.

Why is it coming to Leverkusen, the seat of the headquarters of the multinational Bayer?

One of the main reasons for coming to Leverkusen, was to tell the people of this city and the factory workers of Bayer, Bayer which crimes are committed by other countries. We want people to know that Leverkusen there must be other than Bhopal in the world and that no one should suffer what the people of Bhopal and Institute suffers.

What should I do to prevent other disasters such as Bhopal?

multinational companies and the individuals themselves who commit such crimes should be punished appropriately. Must be treated as criminals and death caused by their poisons should be assimilated to murder, as well as the violence of their toxins on women's bodies should be considered as a rape and birth defects from exposure to those chemicals, crimes should be covered by criminal law. If we can not reverse the rule that allows corporations to get to a place, damage, kill, pollute and then leave without any criminal charge, we have very little opportunity to prevent further catastrophes like Bhopal. The precautionary principle should be adopted and studied. We would like to know why, so toxic and hazardous substances must their being produced in places where human lives are at risk and the environment.

Only through an intensive use of new lines, opening to all categories of and train users, including freight, and not only to a small elite that can afford the high prices charged by Trenitalia, you can return to the high and sustained funding to pursue the purpose for which they were made.

The department of fruit and vegetables at the supermarket ... I

By Rossella Gigli
The vegetable world is going through a difficult time and is particularly dangerous because the companies are likely to remain clinging to the only critical element of the producer price in a tug of war with the GDO (Retail facilities) that will eventually fly the weakest legs in the air.
What we desperately need now is not the controversy, clashes and tensions within the sector or the forcing and struggles to euro cent price. What we need - and quickly - is to put together new ideas to revolutionize the role that fruits and vegetables play in the collective imagination of consumers, the way they are perceived and, consequently, evaluated and rewarded. Would benefit the entire supply chain. We had already
way of addressing the issue in a previous editorial (" Fruits and vegetables: the market knows the price, but not the value "), but today we want to make a contribution of a more proactive and effective , so launch a debate on the issue and urge the creation and exchange of ideas by other manufacturers and distributors. The natural pharmacy

The Italian people seem to be suffering from a perpetual hypochondriac attitude: the consumption of medicines are very high, the first in Europe, and the attention to health and medical care at times verges on a real obsession. In summary, we are a nation of drug addicts.
then imagine for a moment that the Department of fruits and vegetables from the supermarket decides to become a "natural pharmacy". The beneficial properties of each product and healthy fruit and vegetables are indeed both significant and proven scientifically as those of many drugs over the counter. The only problem is that these virtues are often little known, especially with regard to exotic fruits or vegetables.
Suppose then enrich the produce section of explanatory signs, softened by pictures and drawings, in which they give account of the contribution of each item to the law enforcement / prevention of specific diseases. The signs could also be an excellent opportunity to put advice preparation / consumption of the product or explain - since it is losing the awareness among the public - what kind of plan to give birth to a fruit or a vegetable. The consultant
natural
But we do not limited by your imagination. Why not contemplate the possibility, in line with what is already the case in initiatives to promote in-store, retain a / nutritionist a young neo-graduate who, with a gown white (possibly decorated with images of fruit, vegetables and spices) is available to customers for any further advice / suggestions and healthy diet? You could enter the nutritionist in fruit and vegetable sector in the days or time slots of the busiest, for example.
Calling this figure with a catchy name like "The Natural Consultant", we would have done a great service at a conceptual reformulation of fruit and vegetables in the head and habits consumers, who - in perspective - perhaps even be willing to pay for fresh produce at least as much today as they spend in vitamins, supplements, health foods and beauty salons! We lose someone or everyone gains, including buyers, from an idea like that?

As member of the Presidency of ACU National Association of Consumers and Users by virtue of my experience as a researcher science in the field, I would like to speak on the article "The department of fruits and vegetables that I would like the supermarket." I have nothing to complain about the need to increase consumption of fruit and vegetables, especially in certain groups of consumers are not necessarily "at risk", such as children and the elderly. Indeed, it is the case in support of promotion at all levels, because the notion that eating fruits and vegetables is good for me seems to have already acquired, at least in part of the population. But campaigns need a "promoter" and funding. And therein lies the problem. But it is not the only one.

Competitors supermarket are:

traditional shops (market gardeners), which in some cities, such as in Milan, are managed primarily by families from Puglia, facilities, almost always a highly professional service both in terms of quality and assortment , with a limit on the sale price,

the peddlers, which, in Milan, cover the entire city and offer a competing service with regard to prices, but not always, in my view, on the side of quality

the "farmers market", a reality born recently in which there is no evidence yet of opinion, even for the different geographical and socio-economic; I think are promising and can successfully integrate in the landscape supply;

the direct sale of the producer, the quality may be optimal but the problem is they can not be considered a viable solution on large numbers, will inevitably a niche market;

the "GAS" (joint purchasing groups) that are active mainly in the cities and are often formed by people with very sensitive issues such as health, quality, transparency and cost.

I did not want to do homework, but only say the notion that in a free market, everyone should be able to carve out their own space.

Coming to GDO and super-and hypermarkets, in my opinion the fault of the produce department is to offer a product that, inevitably (logistical needs, bulk quantities, price limits) can not be customized. For example, in many cases, some fruits and vegetables for the supermarket chains have a different level of maturity (that is collected in advance) than that considered optimal for the quality, especially in terms of texture, flavor and aroma. The consumer who buys fruit and vegetables to supermarket chains is often not fulfilled or can not fully enjoy the sensory characteristics. The buyer of retail fruit and vegetable is then attracted by factors such as comfort, rather than the price that other factors such as health, transparency, quality and service. The same mode of exposure are critical, and largely improved, for example during the summer months almost never see fresh fruit or vegetables kept in a refrigerated display. In the United States pursuant to expose melons, watermelon slices maintained in blocks with ice flakes, as if they were sea bass! (If you are interested I have photos).

several initiatives would be taken. The "natural counselor" could be one, but even the simplest action would have a major impact on consumers. For example, the week of the Artichokes (the first that comes to mind), with raw material from from various Italian and European production areas, with explanations and illustrations of recipes, suitable especially for children and teens, with posters and videos that show the production cycle, with experts who explain the selection criteria, controls and tests performed.

At this point nothing that producers, consumers and distributors to sit around a table and discuss what should be done in a transparent manner. We are ready to do our part.

Meanwhile, we can begin to collect suggestions from our readers.
