Dear Friends,
the Polish parliament has chosen December 15 2009 to discuss and vote on a new "Law on GMOs," which, if approved, will mark the beginning of the cultivation of genetically modified organisms on Polish soil, on the basis of EU standards allowing the coexistence of genetically modified crops and conventional crops on a commercial scale.
Despite more than two uninterrupted years of lobbying, demonstrations and petitions, the Tusk government decided not to prohibit the cultivation of the controversial maize MON810, which is subject to a ban on crop cultivation in seven European countries, including Germany and France. The present government has also refused to maintain the prohibition adopted from the previous one on the import and trade of GM seeds and plants.
The Government will, however, just ten days after the Christmas holidays, to pass away from noise to a new law that will lay the foundations office for the first sowing of GM crops on the Polish soil thus providing a classic example of political manipulation and collusion with multinational companies.
Friends, this is a crucial time to act: we must prevent this bill is approved . Even now, almost at the end of time, we can show to the Polish government that a serious international movement of resistance is opposed to genetic pollution of the beautiful Polish countryside, thanks to its 1.5 million small family farms and its wholesome food . Join
Polish citizens to reject this cowardly and secret attempt to disregard the will of 70% of the population and majority of Polish farmers. Write today to the President of the Polish Parliament (tomorrow's vote ) that the new "Law on GMOs" is rejected and is prohibited in the country the cultivation of MON810 maize and any other genetically modified crop, the European Union decides to approve .
Please act immediately. E 'crucial that your voice will join those of Polish citizens to stop the genocide of the biodiversity of the Polish countryside and its inhabitants.
With best regards, Julian and Jadwiga

Komorowski,
I address you today as a European citizen responsibility. As you know, on 15 December 2009, the Polish Parliament will discuss and will vote on a new "Law on GMOs," which, if approved, will mark the beginning of the cultivation of genetically modified organisms on Polish soil, on the basis of EU standards European allowing the coexistence of genetically modified crops and conventional crops on a commercial scale. Seven were
Europe have already banned the cultivation of MON810, the only genetically modified crop, where it has been authorized for commercial cultivation in the EU. Germany has a border with Poland, has banned the cultivation of MON810 in 2009 for the environmental risks that this entails.
Please take into account the irreversible that GM crops would produce the stunning natural biodiversity in Poland where the transgenic seeds were introduced into the environment. 80% of all Europeans and 70% of Polish citizens is opposed to GMOs. Please do not ignore their will.
We urge you to adopt the precautionary principle on this issue. Please act wisely and not to submit your country to a genetic experiment that can have devastating consequences for future generations, biodiversity and the Agriculture GMO Free.
